QphoX is looking for a (junior/senior) scientist to join us in developing and building our quantum transducers and electro-optic devices. QphoX is a recently established (February 2021) spin-off company from TU Delft, developing and building quantum technology that will allow quantum computers to network together. You will be involved in:

- Simulating and designing new generations of microwave-frequency devices

- Continuous communication with other teams

- Cryogenic microwave-frequency experiments with superconducting quantum circuits

- Analysing and quantifying the data that you measure

- Communicating the results of the different experiments you run

- Working in diverse environment of skilled engineers and scientists

- Learning about photonics and MEMS.


You are suitable for this role if you have or are:

- A masters or PhD with a background in physics, applied physics, superconducting electronics, electrical engineering or related field

- Experience with:

o Microwave (RF) experiments with superconducting quantum circuits

o Experiment automatization with Python/C++ interface

o Finite element simulation software (such as COMSOL, Ansys, Sonnet,..)

o Theoretical models in numerical analysis of the experimental results

- Good organizational and planning skills to achieve set goals on time.

- Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers, scientists and technicians with a wide range of skill-sets.


Supplementary skills set:

- Knowledge with cleanroom fabrication
- Experience in industry
