QphoX is looking for an Engineering Team Lead to join us in developing and building our quantum transducers and electro-optic devices. QphoX is a recently established (February 2021) spin-off company from TU Delft, developing and building quantum technology that will allow quantum computers to network together. You will be involved in:

- Coordinating the product development from proof-of-concept experiments to the first product prototype and to the commercial product
- Contributing to the definition of technical roadmaps and milestones, guiding the evolution of products towards commercialization and deployment
- Managing risks and dependencies around product development and prototyping
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum transduction systems with other components of the quantum network ecosystem
- Ensuring the reliability, scalability, performance, and functionality of developed products through testing, validation, and optimization processes
- Supporting the Head of Engineering in leading and mentoring the engineering team
- Enabling the growth of the team by identifying new resources
- Forming the bridge between engineering and management teams
- Fostering a collaborative environment within the team and across departments, facilitating effective communication and knowledge sharing to drive collective success


You are suitable for this role if you have or are:

- Advanced experience (5+ years) in high-tech industry
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Quantum Computing, or a related field
- Experience in a technical leadership role
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and experience in overseeing complex engineering projects from concept to delivery
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively and collaborate cross-functionally within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment
- A "get things done" with a strong hands-on mentality
