QphoX is looking to hire an experienced Quantum Scientist/Engineer to design and develop interconnects between qubits, resonators and microwave to optical transducers. We are looking for highly motivated candidates with strong engineering principles, resourcefulness, and deep expertise. Organization and communication skills are essential.
·PhD or equivalent practical experience in Quantum Physics / Engineering, specialization in circuit QED.
·Proven experimental track record.
·Experience with design, simulation, and measurement of microwave quantum circuits, including superconducting qubit characterization.
·Strong understanding of microwave engineering principles, impedance matching circuits.
·Cryogenic setups and control electronics for superconducting qubits.
·Proficient in Python for data acquisition, measurement and analysis.
·Effective working in a team environment with other engineers, scientists and technicians who have a wide range of technical skill levels.
·Experience designing and measuring lumped and/or distributed superconducting resonators.
·Strong background in pulsed microwave measurement techniques.
·Experience with microwave and/or multi-physics modeling software (one or more of ANSYS Maxwell/HFSS, Sonnet, Microwave Office, COMSOL, etc.).
·SQUID-based resonators JPA/TWPA amplifiers.
·Experience with nanofabrication and optical design/quantum optics are plusses.
QphoX is a recently established (February 2021) spin-off company from the TU Delft, working on developing and building quantum technology that will allow quantum computers to network together. We are a small team (currently 9 people and growing quickly), very dynamic and highly motivated, with a very positive and exciting work environment.
